Amethyst and Kyanite Crochet Necklace with Amethyst Pendant
Deep purple amethyst and light blue kyanite are crocheted onto nickel free Argentium silver wire in three separate strands, each braided together to form this necklace. Attached to the necklace is a large eye clean deep purple amethyst focal accented with apatite and swiss blue topaz. Two sterling silver hammered cones finish off the braided crocheted strands. The necklace is fastened with a handcrafted shepherd's hook and eye clasp also made from nickel free Argentium silver wire. The necklace measures 17" (43 cm) and has an additional 1" (2.5 cm) of link extension, which gives it a total length of 18" (45.5 cm). What is Argentium Silver?
Argentium Silver wire is a modern sterling silver alloy which modifies the traditional alloy by replacing some of the copper with the metalloid germanium. Argentium is purer than traditional sterling silver and is low maintenance, easy to care for and simple to clean and is produced using only recycled silver.
